New Year’s Day Walk at the Let

Shine through the wintertime with this seasonal walk.

Ring in 2026 with a guided walk at The Let Conservation Area, a place that is usually only reached from the water. The walk begins at 10 a.m.

Park at Sylvan Nursery. The group will leave from the nursery and cross private property before entering The Let. Wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. The path is uneven and can be wet in low spots. This is a family-friendly outing, and kids walk for free. There are no bathrooms. No dogs.

The Let Conservation Area covers 62 acres and stretches from the Westport River to Horseneck Road. It offers wide views of tidal estuaries and salt marshes that define the region.

The fee is $10 for adults; kids 12 and under free.
