The starting gun for the New Bedford Half Marathon, one of the city’s signature events, goes off at 11 a.m. on Sunday and I’ll be there. But not as just another excited observer. I’ll be running the race this year!
Three months of training comes to an end for me Sunday, and it’s a true honor to be part of the race and running the streets I cover as the NoticiasNB reporter every day.
I’ll join the other runners under expected pleasant skies that hints at the imminent arrival of spring. It’s also perfect for anyone who wants to come out and cheer us on.
Organizers are expecting more than 2,000 runners, and I’m excited to be one of them. Hope to see you along the way on Sunday.
