Day of Portugal New Bedford

Day of Portugal New Bedford celebrates Portuguese culture, music, food, and tradition by bringing the community together for four days of events at Madeira Field and festival grounds.
Thursday, June 18, begins with a 6:30 p.m. flag-raising ceremony at New Bedford City Hall, followed by a reception at the Consulate of Portugal.
Friday, June 19, a 6 p.m. opening ceremony with Banda Senhor da Pedra and a ribbon cutting at the festival grounds. David De Melo performs at 7:30 p.m., followed by Jorge Ferreira at 9:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 20, includes performances by Luz Eterna at 4 p.m., Tita at 5:30 p.m., Arlindo Andrade at 7 p.m., and Moda Nova at 9:30 p.m.
Sunday, June 21, features performances by various folklore groups at 4 p.m., followed by Vavó Brito at 6:30 p.m. and Carlos Pires at 7 p.m.
