ReelTALK Film Class: Stories and Their Humans

This film series looks at life in the Anthropocene through nature-centered stories. The films reflect a changing planet created by human activity. Themes include climate change, loss, and fortitude.
Screenings begin at 8 p.m. on June 18, July 9, and Aug. 13:
- June 18: Wilding (2023) documents the revival of an English estate returned to nature. Wildlife and plant life reemerge after years of intensive farming.
- July 9: Flow (2024) follows a cat and a group of animals crossing a flooded world. The animated film explores survival and connection.
- Aug. 13: Soylent Green (1973) presents a future noted by overpopulation and scarce resources. A detective investigates a powerful corporation in a deteriorating New York City.
