It’s crunch time for choosing the next Ward 3 councilor in New Bedford.
The voters have spoken and the finalists for the Feb. 28 special election for Ward 3 Councilor are Shawn Oliver and Carmen Amaral.
Oliver is a state corrections officer and Amaral is the academic coordinator for Old Colony Regional Voc-Tech. They have both emphasized improving constituent services and the City Council’s communication with the public in their campaigns.
Amaral and Oliver joined The New Bedford Light’s Jack Spillane for an in-depth discussion of the issues for a special election version of The Chat. As always, The Chat is free, but you must register to attend.
