Host and New Bedford Light columnist Jack Spillane was joined by City Councilor Shane Burgo, NAACP President Renee Ledbetter and United Interfaith Action Executive Director Andrea Sheppard Lomba in a conversation about what housing advocates say is an inadequate approach to a crisis.
“Housing is a human right,” said Sheppard Lomba.

Though Mitchell has embarked on a multi-faceted plan to grow the number of units, the increase is by hundreds a year instead of the needed thousands.
Watch The Chat to understand the depth of the crisis, possible solutions, and as Burgo said, “hope” for the future.
