Your vast community support has buoyed The New Bedford Light to meet the full $100,000 match in record time. We are overjoyed. We also send heartfelt thanks to our anonymous donor who generously matched gifts from over 325 individuals.
Reader support is the lion’s share of our revenue. Your giving has lifted our nonprofit newsroom and allowed us to expand our reporting team and publish more stories in just two short years.
The Light’s in-depth stories are keeping the community informed and leading to positive change. And we’re expanding awareness of the region’s significant art and culture scene.
Thank you for believing in the power of local journalism and ensuring our content is free for all. It is our privilege to share this adventure with you.
Happy reading,
The New Bedford Light
