Work and experience: Why are you qualified to run for this office?
Since 2007, I’ve had the distinct honor of serving my hometown as a selectman, a position I still hold today. As a selectman, I have a track record of delivering results and doing everything I can to make our communities better. I also have experience working not only on Beacon Hill but in county government.
I’m the only candidate who will be ready on Day 1.
What’s your main reason for running?
There’s a lot of reasons I’m running but it really boils down to the fact that I know I can make a difference in people’s lives. That’s what drives me. We have a lot of challenges ahead. I want to take those on. I want to make it easier for people to put food on their table. I want to ensure our children are receiving a great education. I want to take care of our seniors and our vets. That’s why I’m running. Plain and simple. I want to make a difference.
What key issue do you plan to address, and how will you do that?
In this race we believe closing the Steward loophole is the pressing issue in the district. My plan includes immediately filing legislation that gives both the Department of Public Health and the Attorney General oversight authority with the teeth to take meaningful actions in the event of future bad actors. If we can hold banks’ feet to the fire, we most certainly need to hold those who are responsible for our health accountable, too.
With the country splintered by partisan politics, what do you think needs to be done to get Democrats and Republicans to work together?
We need to start remembering that we all want the same basic things. Freedom. Financial security. The knowledge that the next generation will do better than the last. We disagree on how to get those things done. Sadly, and I believe this is because of fringe forces who profit from chaos, we have come to believe that the “other side” has nothing worth considering in terms of solutions. So, we’ve stopped listening. We talk past and not to each other.
One of the things I’m incredibly proud of is the number of Republicans who support my candidacy. It’s because I listen and I’m solution driven. If elected, I hope I can set an example for that on Beacon Hill.

I don’t know a lot about Mr. Pacheco. What I do know is he is responsive, sincere, and willing listen!
He earned my vote!
