New Bedford resident and community advocate Eldric Reis Abreu was one of many to speak at Saturday’s demonstration at City Hall in protest of recent immigration enforcement actions.
“Our diversity and rich cultures dates back to the start of the city and we need to highlight that and make sure it continues that way,” he said in a video he submitted to Community Voices.
“My message speaks to the concerns and experiences of many in our community,” he wrote in an email to The Light.
