New Bedford Symphony Orchestra flutist welcomes us to spring

Sent to The New Bedford Light by David Prentiss, president and CEO of the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, this is a video of principal flutist Timothy Macri performing an original composition-improvisation, Esperando las Ballenas (Waiting for the Whales), to welcome spring.

Said Macri, who performed the solo with New Bedford Harbor in the background, “Lots of color thanks to the trawlers, the weather, my producer (Luís Avíla), and the scarf made for me by my Nonni!”
