Weaving an Oak Hoop Egg Basket

This class features a simple and charming basket with everyday appeal. Medium size measures about 8 by 8 by 10 inches. Quarter-inch reeds form the structure, and a half-round reed finishes the edge. Many uses fit easily into daily life.
Dinner rolls, fruit, and eggs work well in this basket. Some may add a fabric liner and use it as a catch-all. Beginners can complete a basket in one session. A black walnut stain adds durability and a warm finish.
The class meets on Tuesday, Jan. 13, or Tuesday, Feb. 10, from 2 to 5 p.m. Fee is $55.
