Homeschool Day at the Whaling Museum

Homeschool families are invited to Homeschool Day on Tuesday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the New Bedford Whaling Museum. Activities focus on art, history, science, and culture.
Discounted admission is $10 for students ages 4 to 18 and $12 for adults. Children under 3 are free. General admission includes the Kid’s Corner, Interactive Topographic Sand Table, Inflatable Whale, and access to the Lagoda Whaling Ship lower deck.
A hands-on Squid Dissection Workshop will be offered at 9:45 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. The session costs $7 per student and is recommended for ages 8 and older. Space is limited.
Visitors can also add the 25-minute 3D film Wonders of the Arctic for $4 per person, with showings throughout the day.
Drop-in activities, story times, and guided tours will will be available across the museum. Visitors may bring their own lunch to enjoy in the Harbor View Gallery.
