WAG’s Spring Show, “Journeys

The Westport Art Group’s judged Spring Show, “Journeys,” opened April 23 and continues through May 10. Gallery hours are Thursday through Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m.

Awards were presented at the opening reception. Judge David Barnes selected the winners. Additional prizes were provided by sponsors Manchester Interiors and Jeffrey of Westport.

Germana Rodrigues received Best in Show for “Echoes from Within,” a watercolor in tunnel-book format with layered detail.

Susan Czernicka earned second place for “Silently Slipping into the Forest,” inspired by a visit to her grandmother’s village in western Ukraine and its World War II history.

Chris Page received Best Interpretation of the Theme for “Walking without Stopping,” a series of four photographs taken in the woods.

The exhibit features a range of work tied to the theme of journeys. It remains on view through May 10.
