Abstract Acrylics: Spring Florals with Elyse Laurelle is on Saturday, April 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the MAC Studio. Admission is $55 for members and $65 for nonmembers.
The one-day workshop uses spring florals as inspiration for acrylic painting. Beginners and those looking to build skills are welcome. Participants create a daffodil-inspired painting, with the option to explore another floral subject. Elyse Laurelle provides demonstrations, guidance, and feedback as you work through the process.
The class focuses on building comfort with acrylics and completing a finished painting. Participants are encouraged to explore their own style.
Laurelle is an artist and educator at the Co Creative Center in downtown New Bedford. She is an adjunct university professor and serves as program director for Art Start and All Things Art at the MAC.
