WAG’s 70th Anniversary Celebration

The Westport Art Group’s 70th anniversary with a special exhibit June 4-21 at the WAG Gallery. The exhibit is open Thursdays through Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
An opening reception and champagne toast are on Friday, June 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. The closing reception is Sunday, June 21, from 3 to 5 p.m. Artwork from private collections, historical archives, and current members will be featured, showcasing the organization’s history and growth.
Founded in 1956, the Westport Art Group was the first arts organization in Bristol County. Today, the group has more than 250 members and supports scholarships, exhibitions, workshops, summer art programs, and weekly plein air painting sessions.
