The McCarthy Method: Acrylic Studio Painting

Westport Art Group will offer “The McCarthy Method – Acrylic Studio Painting” on Tuesdays, Oct. 7, 21, 28, and Nov. 4, 11, 18 from 2 to 5 p.m. No class Oct. 14.

The six-session course is led by New Bedford artist and musician Butch McCarthy. Students will learn acrylic painting techniques, composition, and color theory. The class is open to beginners and experienced painters.

McCarthy is a self-taught artist. His work has been shown on Cape Cod and in New Bedford. It has also been exhibited at galleries in Tiverton and South Dartmouth.
