Szostak Opens North American Tour With New Bedford Organ Recital

Michał Szostak, a Polish concert organist, returns to St. Anthony of Padua Church on Sunday, May 31, at 3 p.m., opening his 2026 North American tour. Tickets are $25.
A standing ovation marked his last appearance. Audience response brought him back for another recital.
Szostak holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in organ performance and a PhD in management from Leon Koźmiński University in Warsaw.
Music fills a landmark space. The church features a 256-foot spire, one of the tallest in New England. Inside, hand-carved angels and 112 stained glass windows by Guido Nincheri shape the setting.
Proceeds support preservation work. Current efforts focus on restoring exterior window frames that protect the stained glass.
