Reading Frederick Douglass Together

The Marion Art Center and the Marion Community Center will host a public reading of Frederick Douglass’ 1852 speech, “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?” on Monday, July 6, at 1 p.m. Readers will present an abridged version, and Dr. Moise St. Louis will lead a community discussion.
Lunch will be served at noon by the Marion Council on Aging. A $5 donation is suggested. Reservations are required by noon on Thursday, July 2. Call 508-748-3570.
