Dock-u-mentary Film Screening: Vintage Gloucester

Dock-u-mentaries continues Friday, April 17, at 7 p.m. at the visitor center theater at New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park. Admission is free.
Presented by the Fishing Heritage Center, the program features three short films on Gloucester and its commercial fishing history from the 1930s to the 1960s. Titles include “New England Fishermen (1938),” “Men of Gloucester (1949),” and “The New England Fisherman (1967).”
Dock-u-mentaries is a monthly film series held on the third Friday from October through April at the park’s auditorium, 33 William St. The films focus on the working waterfront and the region’s fishing industry.
