Author Book Talk: Kerri K. Greenidge

Kerri Greenidge will discuss her book “Black Radical: The Life and Times of William Monroe Trotter” during a free virtual program on May 28 from noon to 1 p.m., presented by the New Bedford Whaling Museum.
Greenidge is a professor at Tufts University and co-director of several public history projects focused on race, slavery, and colonialism. Her work has appeared in publications including The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and The Guardian.
“Black Radical” discusses the life of Boston activist and newspaper editor William Monroe Trotter by tracing his role in Black political activism during the post-Reconstruction era. The award-winning biography connects Trotter’s work to the wider history of Black radicalism in America.
