Smoking Rocks Beach cleanup

A community effort is taking shape at Smoking Rocks Beach, behind Fleet Fisherieson, on Saturday, June 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants will meet at 4 Silva Street near Bayline Marina. Look for sign.
Volunteers are needed for the first organized cleanup of the New Bedford shoreline. The group will remove litter to help protect the surrounding coastal environment.
Bring gloves, wear sturdy shoes, and lend a hand in restoring a stretch of shoreline that has long been in need of attention.
