Women’s Fund SouthCoast celebrates Young Women’s Advisory Council

Join the Women’s Fund SouthCoast as it celebrates the second cohort of the Young Women’s Advisory Council (YWAC), a leadership and civic engagement program for young women and gender-expansive youth in New Bedford.

The free event on Thursday, June 25, will feature youth-led presentations, policy recommendations, a community issue forum, and the announcement of $20,000 in grants awarded by YWAC members to local organizations. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from youth leaders about the issues impacting their communities and the solutions they are advancing.

The Young Women’s Initiative is part of a national movement to support young women of color and gender-expansive youth through leadership development, advocacy, and philanthropy.
