The Weight Band Ft. members of The Band & Levon Helm Band

Weight Band performs Friday, Dec. 5, 2024. Tickets cost $52 in advance and $55 the day of the show. Doors open at 7 p.m. The show begins at 8 p.m. Pricing includes all fees.

Jim Weider leads the group. A Woodstock native, he once stepped in for Robbie Robertson in The Band and later played with Levon Helm. The project began in 2013 in Helm’s Woodstock barn and grew from a desire to keep that musical legacy alive.

“Shines Like Gold,” the band’s current album, mixes rock, blues, country, soul, and folk. Live shows feature original songs and classics from The Band. Audiences also hear selections tied to the Grateful Dead, the Allman Brothers, and Bob Dylan.

Band members include Brian Mitchell on keyboards and vocals, bassist Albert Rogers, drummer Michael Bram, and keyboardist Matt Zeiner. Weider calls their shared style the “Woodstock Sound,” and the group continues to carry it forward.
