The Power of Shared Joy: MLK Community Program

The City of New Bedford presents the annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Community Program on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church. The theme is The Power of Shared Joy.
Rev. Dr. Ray Hammond will deliver the keynote address. Hammond is the senior and founding pastor of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Boston. The program also includes creative expression contest winners and special guest performances.
Sponsors include the SouthCoast Community Foundation, the City of New Bedford Department of Community Services, and the Human Rights Commission.
