Summer at New Bedford Whaling Museum

Summer activities run daily at the New Bedford Whaling Museum from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Activities are free with museum admission.
Mondays: Revolutionary Moments
Commemorate America’s 250th anniversary on alternating Mondays: June 29, July 13 and 27, and Aug. 10 and 24.

Tuesdays: Lagoda Days
Explore above and below deck aboard the Lagoda whaling ship on alternating Tuesdays: July 7 and 21, and Aug. 4 and 18.

Wednesdays: Whale Wednesdays
Climb inside an inflatable whale and make whale-themed crafts every Wednesday from July 1 through Aug. 26.

Thursdays: STEM Days and Squid Dissections
STEM activities run on alternating Thursdays: July 2, 16, and 30, and Aug. 13 and 27. Squid dissections begin at 11 a.m. Tickets are $7. Advance registration is recommended. Space is limited.

Fridays: Photo Fridays
View photography and the exhibit “Look Pleasant, Please” on alternating Fridays: July 10 and 24, and Aug. 7 and 21.

Saturdays: Aquarium Activities
Watch an aquarium feeding at 10 a.m., followed by craft activities at 10:30 a.m. every Saturday from July 4 through Aug. 29.

Sundays: Art Adventures
Create art inspired by the museum’s collections every Sunday from June 28 through Aug. 30.
