Subtractive Monotypes: An Entryway into Printmaking

“Subtractive Monotypes: An Entryway into Printmaking” runs Feb. 7 from noon to 4 p.m.
This hands-on printmaking workshop with artist Kim Gatesman is an easy entry point into monotyping.
Students learn two approachable techniques, starting with trace monotypes and moving into subtractive monotypes. Both rely on mark-making similar to drawing and painting. The process is simple, low-pressure, and well-suited for those familiar with other two-dimensional media.
Beginners are welcome. Space is limited to 10 students.
