Special City Council meeting

The New Bedford City Council will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, Room 214, at 133 William St. The meeting will address unfinished business from the Aug. 20 council meeting, which was adjourned before the agenda was completed.
Agenda items include proposed changes to form-based zoning districts, the demolition of the Coffin Howland House at Hazelwood Park, and development proposals for former fire stations on Kempton Street and Brock Avenue. The council will also consider a tax incentive for Vanko Studio Architects and plans to realign Hillman Street at Pleasant Street.
Other items include proposals involving cannabis consumption establishments, downtown homelessness and substance use, the future of the South Terminal and the city’s use of Flock cameras and other surveillance technology.
The meeting will be livestreamed and recorded.
