Social Justice Book Club meeting at New Bedford library
Join the New Bedford Downtown Library for a night of community, connection, and conversation inspired by Zora Neale Hurston’s “Their Eyes Were Watching God.” The book club is open to adults 18 and older.
First published in 1937, the novel tells a Southern love story centered on a strong Black female protagonist. Once out of print for nearly 30 years, it has become one of the most widely read and acclaimed works in African American literature.
Copies are available at the library’s circulation desk with no wait. Book club participants may borrow a copy for one month.
