Bristol County Sheriff Paul Heroux came into office three years ago after frustration with 25-year former Sheriff Tom Hodgson finally reached a boiling point.  Heroux ran as a reformer, and he’s delivered — for better or worse.

Under the new sheriff, Bristol County has significantly reduced jail suicides, cut non-jail and unnecessary programs from the budget, and outlined plans to close the antiquated Ash Street Jail while making the House of Correction safer and more efficient.

Halfway through his six-year term, Sheriff Heroux will be Jack Spillane’s guest on The Chat for the full hour on Thursday, March 19, at 1 p.m.
