Shipwreck! by Charles McGrath

The public is invited to a book launch for “Shipwreck! Horseneck Point Lifesaving Station and South Coast Rescuers” on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025. The talk runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Partners Village Store in Westport.

Author Charles McGrath will discuss the book. He will sign copies. A brief question-and-answer session will follow.

The book shares stories of rescuers along the South Coast. They faced dangerous waters and saved sailors in storms and shipwrecks. It also explores the history of lifesaving stations in the region.

McGrath is a journalist and author. He worked at The New Yorker and The New York Times. He now writes for The New York Times.
