Sharing Smiles Day at Cortland Dental & Braces

Cortland Dental & Braces will provide free dental care for uninsured and underinsured families during Sharing Smiles Day on May 31 at its office at 137 Hathaway Road in New Bedford.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will offer dental exams, limited emergency care, extractions, restorative care, and limited cleanings for children and adults without Medicaid or dental insurance. Advance registration is encouraged.
Sharing Smiles Day is sponsored by Benevis and coincides with National Smile Day. Organizers said the annual volunteer event aims to improve access to dental care and promote healthy habits in underserved communities.
Over the past decade, the program has provided no-cost dental care to more than 3,800 patients in several states. More than 380 volunteers across 10 states are expected to take part this year.
