Shakespeare in New Bedford Presents: Romeo & Juliet 101

“Romeo & Juliet 101” is a one-hour program that is part of Shakespeare in New Bedford and is presented with Reverie Theatre Group. It takes a closer look at the story behind the play and the choice to set Reverie’s version during New Bedford’s whaling days.
Speakers include dramaturge Tony Silvia, along with directors Alexander Sprague and Lauren Katherine Pothier. Silvia earned his Ph.D. from the Shakespeare Institute and has a background in TV journalism.
The event is free as part of AHA Night and supported by local cultural councils and the Wicked Cool Places program.
