Senhor da Pedra Feast at Madeira Field
The Senhor da Pedra Feast embraces Portuguese faith and heritage for three days at Madeira Field. Festivities include live music, religious observances, and a procession.
Here’s the schedule:
Friday, Aug. 14: Celebrations begin at 6 p.m. with the raising of the flags and music by Filarmonica do Senhor da Pedra. Thatcher performs at 7 p.m., followed by Journey tribute band The Great Escape.
Saturday, Aug. 15: A moving of the saints starts at 5:30 p.m. from Immaculate Conception Hall to Immaculate Conception Church for Mass. Tony Borges performs at 7:30 p.m., followed by Nelia and her band.
Sunday, Aug. 16: Committee and society members gather at 11 a.m. for a procession to Immaculate Conception Church for Mass. A larger procession begins at 2 p.m. with several marching bands. A 5 p.m. concert features Filarmonica do Senhor da Pedra and Banda de Santo Antonio, followed by Moda Nova Band.
