Safety & Survival Class at SMAST West

Commercial fishermen are invited to a free safety and survival training session. The program covers the use of EPIRBs, signal flares, MAYDAY calls, man overboard recovery, firefighting, flooding and damage control, dewatering pumps, immersion suits, personal flotation devices, and life rafts.

The hands-on training is open to all fishermen, including crew members, who want to learn or strengthen essential survival skills. For those interested, it also serves as the first day of the two-day AMSEA Drill Conductor Certification course.
