Rob Millard-Mendez: An Imperfect Circle

“An Imperfect Circle” exhibit runs Jan. 21 through March 21, at the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park.
An AHA Night reception is planned for Thursday, Feb. 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. An artist talk begins at 6 p.m. A second AHA Night reception follows Thursday, March 12, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a live marquetry demonstration by the artist. Events are free and open to the public.
Millard Mendez is a UMass Dartmouth faculty member and South Coast native. The work reflects a return to the region after two decades of artistic growth. Pieces blend traditional craft with humor, mythology, and careful precision. Materials include wood, brass, and vintage maps.
Gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
