Rededication of Ralph Fasanella Painting Honoring Labor

The Greater Southeastern Massachusetts Labor Council and the City of New Bedford will rededicate “Labor Education: New Bedford Union Hall,” a painting by folk artist Ralph Fasanella, on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025. The event runs from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Ashley Room of City Hall.
The painting honors the city’s labor history and highlights the role of art in public spaces. Mayor Jon Mitchell and Labor Council President Lisa Lemieux will speak. Light refreshments will be served. The public is welcome.
