Realist Drawing: Still life, Landscapes, Objects

Learn how to draw through guided practice and close observation in this four-week studio program. Using pencils, vine charcoal, and erasers, participants focus on making strong marks and learning how to see shape, space, and form more clearly.

The class covers line, shape, perspective, proportion, negative space, light, and shading while drawing from life. Participants also learn how to capture movement and develop a personal drawing style.

Sessions meet Mondays, Jan. 19 and 26, and Feb. 2 and 9, from 10 a.m. to noon at the New Bedford Arts and Cultural Emporium, Studio 260.

The four-week program fee is $145.
