Poetry at the Library w/Margot Wizansky, Vivian Eyre and Eileen Paccia

Prize-winning regional poets will read their work Sunday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. at the Mattapoisett Library. 

Featured poet Margot Wizansky will share selections from her latest collection, “Random Music in a Small Galaxy.” Her poems explore the beauty of life alongside human mortality, addressing themes such as war, migration, environmental crises, and religion.

She will be joined by Vivian Eyre and Eileen Paccia. Eyre’s collection “Ishamel’s Violets” highlights the endangerment of whales, drawing on her work monitoring marine life. Paccia, a New Bedford poet, explores the connections between humanity and nature in urban and ocean settings.

Elizabeth Sylvia will introduce the poets. Light refreshments will be served, and the audience is invited to ask questions after the reading.
