OSS Students Showcase Ocean Science & Art Collaboration with WHOI at the Whaling Museum

Our Sisters’ School will host “When Data Tells a Story: Art, Climate, and the Future We Shape” at the New Bedford Whaling Museum on Thursday, April 9, at 5 p.m. during AHA! Night.
The free program highlights a partnership that brings together students, scientists, fishermen, and artists to explore ocean science and climate change through research and art.
This is part of a two-year collaboration with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and the Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen’s Alliance, working with artist Jill Pelto. Students studied how ocean conditions affect fish habitats through hands-on work with researchers and fishermen.
