Opening of the Bay by Community Boating Center of New Bedford

Opening of the Bay is set for Saturday, May 9, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Kilburn Mill on Clark’s Cove. Tickets are $100.
The Community Boating Center of New Bedford’s annual fundraiser features dinner, dancing, and a silent auction. Proceeds benefit the Summer Youth Sailing Program, which offers scholarships to sailors ages 5 to 24 across Greater New Bedford.
Last year, 88% of participants received financial assistance, helping more kids connect with the city’s waterfront.
Tickets and sponsorships are available at communityboating.org. The organization is also accepting auction donations and looking for volunteers.
