Open Call: 2026 Artist-in-Residence Program

New Bedford Creative is accepting applications for the 2026 Artist-in-Residence Program. The deadline is Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

Now in its ninth year, the program gives artists time and space to create while drawing inspiration from New Bedford’s history, culture, and environment. It also asks artists to share their work through free public programs, making art more accessible to the community.

Up to three residencies will be awarded. Each comes with a $2,500 stipend, studio and exhibition space, supplies, and promotional support.
