Oil Painting for Beginners: Still life

Oil Painting for Beginners: Still Life is a six-week course for beginner artists. The goal is to develop core techniques for developing a personal approach through guided still-life studies. Coursework covers color mixing, brushwork, composition, lighting, perspective, and layering, as well as practical skills such as canvas preparation and cleanup. Optional group critiques close each session.
Classes meet from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 5, continuing on Jan. 12, 19, and 26, and on Feb. 5 and 12. The cost is $175 for the six-week session.
