New Bedford Veterans Day Parade

The 2025 New Bedford Veterans Day Parade will take place Tuesday, Nov. 11. The parade will begin forming at 10 a.m. near Rockdale Avenue and Union Street by Buttonwood Park and step off at 11 a.m.

The route continues east on Union Street, turns north on County Street, and proceeds east on William Street, ending at the reviewing stand near City Hall. A Veterans Day service will follow at the reviewing stand with seating for elderly and disabled veterans.

Command Sergeant Major James H. Rollins, U.S. Army Retired, serves as this year’s Grand Marshal. Rollins is a Vietnam veteran and Service Officer for Disabled American Veterans Chapter 7 in New Bedford.

In case of rain, the ceremony will move to the Fort Taber Community Center at noon. Afterward, light refreshments will be available at the Fort Taber-Fort Rodman Military Museum
