New Bedford School Committee meeting
The New Bedford School Committee meets next on Monday, Oct. 5, at 6 p.m. in the Steven De Rossi Community Room at Keith Middle School, 225 Hathaway Blvd.
Superintendent Andrew O’Leary will provide district updates and an attendance report for the 2025-26 school year. Members will consider Food and Nutrition Department positions, a policy on interactions with law enforcement, and requests for out-of-state conferences and field studies.
The agenda also includes a first reading of the law enforcement policy and an executive session on collective bargaining with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. Members are scheduled to vote on ratifying the union contract after returning to open session.
The next regular meeting is Nov. 9.
