New Bedford Rocks the Park at Custom House Square

“New Bedford Rocks the Park” is a series of five free outdoor concerts on Thursdays from July 9 through Aug. 13, 6 to 8 p.m., at Custom House Square. The Whaling History Alliance presents the family-friendly program to promote the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park.
Here’s this year’s lineup:
- July 9: Stone Gon — Soul, R&B, and dance music
- July 16: Lively Up — The music of Bob Marley and other reggae favorites
- July 23: Wild Nites — Popular dance and party hits
- Aug. 6: Fast Forward — Dance music
- Aug. 13: Redline Band — Rock, country, pop, and alternative
The July 9 and Aug. 13 concerts coincide with AHA! Night.
Admission is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs.
The series supports the Whaling History Alliance’s mission to promote and preserve the park and the region’s maritime history.
