New Bedford Public Schools 2025 Start Dates
August 27, 2025 - September 2, 2025
Classes for the 2025–2026 school year in New Bedford Public Schools will begin on Wednesday, Aug. 27.
Aug. 27: First day for students in grades 9 and 12. This is also an early release day for those grades.
Aug. 28: First day for students in grades 1 through 8, 10 and 11.
Sept. 2: First day for prekindergarten and kindergarten students.
