New Bedford Films Wanted

Montanha Pico Festival is making room for New Bedford filmmakers. The festival’s initiative is accepting submissions through June 1 for its January 2027 event on Pico Island in the Azores.
Selected filmmakers and producers will be notified by June 10, giving participants time to plan for the Mid-Atlantic film gala. More than a dozen Portuguese filmmakers and media representatives have already confirmed attendance. The festival also includes the biennial Encontro Audiovisual Açoriano and the PAA Awards.
Applications are also open for PRÉMIO CURTA PICO, which awards up to €10,000 in production funding for a short fiction project filmed on Pico Island.
