New Bedford Democrats Caucus

New Bedford Democrats will gather on Sunday, March 1, at 1 p.m. to elect 44 delegates and 24 alternates to represent the city at the 2026 State Democratic Convention. Doors open at noon at Our Lady of Angels Band Club.

Registered and pre-registered Democrats in New Bedford who will be 16 by March 29 may vote and seek election as delegates or alternates during the caucus. Youth ages 16 to 35, people with disabilities, people of color, veterans, and members of the LGBTQ+ community who are not elected may apply to serve as add-on delegates at the caucus or at massdems.org/massdems-convention.

Convention is scheduled for May 30, 2026, at the DCU Center in Worcester. The New Bedford Democratic City Committee organizes a bus to the event each year. Details are forthcoming.
