New Bedford City Council’s Finance Committee
The New Bedford City Council Finance Committee will meet Monday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, room 214.
Members will review a proposed tax exemption agreement for the redevelopment of 620 Belleville Ave. into 47 apartments. The vacant property is part of the former Nashawena Mill complex.
The agenda also includes requests from Mayor Jon Mitchell to authorize payment of outstanding bills from fiscal 2026 using fiscal 2027 funds. Expenses involve the School Department, Facilities and Fleet Management, Sullivan’s Ledge, the airport, emergency medical services, and other city departments.
