New Bedford City Council Audit Committee meeting

The New Bedford City Council Audit Committee will meet Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025, at 7 p.m. in Room 214 of City Hall.

The agenda includes a motion requesting that the Purchasing Director provide monthly reports detailing the prior month’s requests for proposals. It also asks for monthly expenditure reports from every city department and account.

Another item seeks a full accounting of all spending from the $250,000 approved in 2019 for legal work related to opposing the Parallel Products expansion. A related motion requests updates from the City Solicitor, the Environmental Stewardship Director, and the CFO regarding outside counsel and environmental impact work related to the project.

A final motion calls for an investigation into a $184,291 deficit reported in the Mayor’s Office.
